JMU Professor: Perriello, Feder Could Win on Tuesday

I thought this was worth passing along:

James Madison University Professor Robert Roberts thinks it is possible Republicans could lose three seats within Virginia's congressional delegation. Roberts says Congressmen Frank Wolf (10th) and Virgil Goode (5th) are in for a fight, and Democrat Gerry Connolly should easily win the seat of the retiring Tom Davis (R).

Actually, Professor Roberts left out another candidate who's got a shot - Glenn Nye in the 2nd CD against Thelma Drake.  Now, I'm not predicting Democrats will win all of these races, but the cool thing is that - with just 72 hour until polls open - we've got a shot.  So get out there, do what you can, and let's make as many of these happen as possible!

CD-11 a safe seat (Dan - 11/1/2008 1:23:49 PM)
Lowell,

I thought I would be criticized for calling VA-11 a safe Democratic pick up in my House Update.  I know how nervous people can be.  However, I think it is clear there is just no way the Republican can win that district over Connolly this year.  All respect to Judy Feder and Glenn Nye, but in Virginia's 5th District, I think there is no question Virgil Goode would probably be the best pick up if we can get it.

Virgil Goode is the worst of the worst, and makes Thelma Drake and Frank Wolf look like John Warner.  I think Perriello gets close, and even though he might win, if he loses, Democrats must have a two year campaign to get Goode in 2010.
