Here is the Hardball video link from Wednesday, October 29 where former Republican House Majority Leader Tom DeLay initially did not have a problem with Obama being called a "socialist," "communist," and "anti-American;" where he called Obama "marxist" and "radical;" and where when pressed he fell just short of calling Obama "anti-American:"
Candidates try to seal the deal

Guests: Tom DeLay, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, John Harris, Clarence Page, John Harris, Clarence Page, Todd Harris, Steve McMahon
CHRIS MATTHEWS, HOST: "But first, a look at the state of this race less than a week before voters go to the polls beginning tonight with former the House majority leader Tom DeLay, Republican of Texas. Mr. DeLay, are you happy with the tone of the Republican campaign, phrases like socialist, communist, anti-American, all kinds of stuff being thrown at Barack Obama? Is it right? Is it fair? Is it smart?
TOM DELAY (R-TX), FORMER HOUSE MAJORITY LEADER: Absolutely, it is. I wish McCain would be a little more assertive, to be honest with you...
DELAY: Chris, I tagged him as a Marxist months ago, particularly when you look at his relationship with Jeremiah Wright, his relationship with William Ayers. It's not that Wright makes outrageous sermons, it's that Jeremiah Wright is a black liberation theology preacher. And 20 years of association means that he must agree with the Marxist theology of black liberation theology...
MATTHEWS: Where's Barack on this? Do you think Barack's anti-American?
DELAY: Well, that's-I'm not going to go that far, but the interview on NPR...
MATTHEWS: Well, you're going pretty far. You're calling him a Marxist.
DELAY: Well...
MATTHEWS: That's pretty far. You're calling him a radical. That's pretty far.
DELAY: Chris, all you have to do is listen to that interview in 2001 on NPR that came out this week, and that connects all the dots. I mean, he explained his world view. He explained his world view as it relates to the Constitution. He called the Constitution a charter of negative rights and that we need to rewrite the Constitution to broaden the scope of the government to work on your behalf. If that's not socialist, if that's not Marxist, I don't know what is...
DELAY: I mean, Obama is a radical. And at the very best, he is a socialist..."
Tom DeLay is a very arrogant and a hard core Neocon ideologue to say the least and this is definitely NOT the first time that he has come out bluntly making such inappropriate and irresponsible comments:

Sarah Palin would not go as far as Tom DeLay did even though she looked like she wanted to have things both ways when it came to referring to Obama as being a socialist:

DREW GRIFFIN, CNN SPECIAL INVESTIGATIONS UNIT: "Governor, is Barack Obama socialist?
GOV. SARAH PALIN (R-AK), VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: I'm not going to call him a socialist. But as "Joe the Plumber" had suggested -- in fact, he came right out and said it sounds like socialism to him. And he speaks for so many Americans who are quite concerned now after hearing, finally, what Barack Obama's true intentions are with his tax and economic plan. And that is to take more from small businesses, more from our families and then redistribute that according to his priorities..."
Democratic candidates in my opinion should nationalize these stupid comments from Tom DeLay about Obama with their Neocon GOP opponents. The more publicity that Tom DeLay's comments get, the more that swing voters in middle America will be turned off to Republican candidates who are perceived as sharing Tom DeLay's extreme ideology!
Democratic candidates can also force their Neocon GOP opponents to take an up or down stand on Tom DeLay's stupid comments which would help to create a lose/lose situation for their opponents. If they run away from DeLay's comments, then they risk losing support from their Neocon GOP activist base who strongly agree with DeLay. If they embrace DeLay's comments in an effort to try and hold their activist base, then they risk losing a lot of swing voters in middle America!
Because of how high of a position that Tom DeLay used to have in our government, these stupid comments from him about Obama in my opinion should be nationalized and be put in the news cycle as much as possible in order to help make the environment even more toxic than it already is for ideological Republican candidates who are running in close races right now!
Tom DeLay was a cancer who was excised from the body of American politics. The same thing also needs to happen to other cancers in politics such as Randy Kuhl, Michele Bachmann, and Robin Hayes:

Hopefully Tom DeLay's stupid comments about Obama will get at least as much news coverage as Randy Kuhl, Michele Bachmann, and Robin Hayes did to help make the atmosphere even more toxic for them!

Sorry, for some reason can't get it to embed.
Also, we've been trying for three days to get Michael Palin's audio intro between Spanish Inquisitiion I and Gumby Theatre from Another Monty Python Record. Can't find it, but it goes like this:
Hello! I am just listening to this record with my wife and our au-pair and I'd like to say how shocked we are that a pleasant collection of Norwegian folk songs should be turned into an excuse for communist propaganda of the shoddiest kind. What's gone wrong with the world? I can't even take a bath without 6 or 7 communists jumping in with me. They're in my shirt cupboard and Breshnev and Kosygin are in the kitchen now eating my wife's jam. Oh, they are cutting off my legs! I can see them peeping out of my wife's blouse! Why doesn't Mr. Maudling do something about it before it is too late? Ohhhh....God...
Monty Python fans, and those more technologically capable, please help. Your country's future may depend upon it.
