Ok, I've held out long enough. I'm for Webb. I've held out this long out of a desire to give Harris Miller a fair shake. But really, is there anything he could possibly say to convince me he can beat Allen? Not that I can think of.
That leaves the following Virginia Progressive Blogs for Webb:
Ben Kyber, Brian Patton, Commonwealth Iconoclast, Howling Latina, Neal 2028, NoVADemocrat, Raising Kaine, Realist Dem, SLANTblog, South Arlington VA, The Richmond Democrat, and Virginia Centrist.
and the blogs for Harris Miller:
GOTV.
The blogs that are still "officially undecided" are (maybe a little pressure should be applied :-)).
Not Larry Sabato, J. Sarge, and Waldo.
Though from the "undecided" column, J. Sarge said:
?I?ll admit to leaning toward Webb at this point in the primary season, but Harris Miller could woo me away with some impressive performances.?
and Waldo Said:
I?m mightily impressed with James Webb, and suspect that he could run a much stronger campaign against George Allen than Harris Miller
James Webb's New Website is: http://www.webbforsenate.com/

The blogosphere is its own beast, but it is not the party (trust me, I've had to explain what a blog is to many, many party leaders).
I liked what J.C. Wilmore said: "The primary campaign will be an interesting contest pitting the party-savvy young professionals against the older tech-savvy grass-roots activists. Both will emerge smarter and better for the experience, and the primary winner will inherit many skilled workers from his competitor."
I have seen nothing so far that challenges that perception.
James Webb: 79%
Harris Miller: 7%
Undecided: 14%
Even if Miller gets the other two blogs, it's 79% to Webb and 21% to Miller. Still pretty one sided. Again, nothing against Miller, I'm sure he's a great guy. I'm just saying that the opinion of Blogosphere is pretty much certain to be overwhelmingly for James Webb.
As for explaining a blog to party leaders...well, they don't decide elections, do they? When you talk about the party, you immediately refer to party leaders. When I talk about the party, I always refer to the voters. That's just me, I could be wrong.
"One of the last blogger holdouts in our series covering endorsments for Secretary Webb has come out for James Webb for the US Senate! South Arlington VA toady announced:
Haha. I'm sure you didn't mean to call him a toady...
toad·y ( P ) Pronunciation Key (td)
n. pl. toad·ies
A person who flatters or defers to others for self-serving reasons; a sycophant.
Webb looks super impressive. Once I pay off the new storm windows I'm contributing to him.
That's in reference to this, in the conservative National Review Online. Key quote: "Republicans should worry. Webb is an impressive man."
thanks for the props. being one of the new guys in the blog-o-sphere i really appreciate it. and i think that the goal of publishing our progressive bretheren really builds our bench, strengthens our voice, and the variety really adds to your already stellar site.
now to get some props for Eric Fergueson and I for attending the JJ dinner. all this talk about building the party and no "public nods" to those that knocked a lot of doors and raised a ton of money -- but lost.

I’m delighted James Webb is in the race, I think he’s about to become a Democratic superstar.
I concurr 100%. In 5 years, we'll be referring to successful democrats as Webb Progressives and Warner Democrats.
btw, Mr. Rea, SLANTblog is one of my daily mustreads. Makes me want to move to Richmond. Know any Delegates in need of a good LA?
;)
Unfortunately, I am not so sure, especially in swing states like Florida and Ohio. The more that leaks out about recent national elections in both these states, the more suspicious it sounds. Don't assume that the certified higher percentage of Bush votes was honest--- if you're going to steal, steal big enough to make it look as though no one could doubt the result. Nothing picayune about Karl Rove.
For Commonwealth and Country, James Webb.
