Palin on SNL

For those of you who watched Sarah Palin, Tina Fey, etc. on "Saturday Night Live" yesterday evening, you may have been just as unimpressed with it as was I.  

Perhaps my expectations were too great, plus I was just getting over Virginia Tech's loss to Boston College a very few minutes before SNL came on the air.

Palin demonstrated a measured sense of humor and was able to make fun of herself somewhat, and Tina Fey seemed to have taken it easy on her.

However, I suspect/hope that Fey's gloves will come off again between now and Election Day.

My wife goes to a mother's online community where several people are from Alaska. A Palin supporter said that she couldn't support her anymore because she went along with what she considers the worst stereotypes about Alaska.

When I wife told me this, I said: "what Alaskan stereotypes?" Then I saw the Palin Rap. Oh, those.

So Palin lost a supporter and a vote with her presence there.
