McCain: Jeff Frederick is a Nobody, Doesn't Represent GOP

Here's a new tactic from John McCain in trying to distance himself from Virginia Republican Party Chair Jeff Frederick's fearmongering -- insist he's a nobody:
In his interview with host Jimmy Barrett, McCain said he's already denounced Frederick's statements but said Obama has yet to speak out against Lewis's. "John Lewis is a person I admire, I have written about him in my books, but that is far different from some, frankly, individual in the Republican Party of the state of Virginia," McCain said. "It's outrageous, harmful, divisive and Senator Obama ought to personally repudiate Congress's Lewis's statement. It is not only connected to George Wallace but also the deaths of innocent young children in church bombings."

McCain added, "I am proud of our campaign. I am proud of the campaign I have done, so Jimmy, you're off base when you compare the two statements. One from a most respected member of Congress and civil rights leader and one from somebody no one knows about which we have repudiated continuously."

When pressed by the host, McCain grew testy. "Don't compare the two my friend...I am telling you, my friend, they are not comparable."

Jeff Frederick is not just "some individual" in the Virginia Republican Party. He's the chair. Is the Virginia Republican party chairman just a figurehead, no different from the rank-and-file? And the GOP chair in the state McCain lives in most of the year and in which his campaign is based is "somebody no one knows about"?

Finally, can McCain get through even one interview without getting angry? You know he's mad when he uses "my friend" twice in one sentence.

For once, I agree with McCain (snolan - 10/14/2008 4:18:11 PM)
Frederick is a nobody; just waiting for Virginians to figure out what a loser Jeff Frederick is.  What useful legislation has Delegate Frederick proposed?  What civics initiatives has he led?  Has he done anything useful at all?

McCain is calling it right in this one case.

Well, he's the head of the Republican Party (Lowell - 10/14/2008 4:19:52 PM)
of Virginia.  Actually, on second thought, maybe he IS a nobody! :)

My point exactly, Grin! (snolan - 10/14/2008 4:21:45 PM)
This election is turning out to be a great deal of fun!  Woo hoo!

Frederick lives in my neighborhood. He is our state delegate. I am not friends with him but have seen him campaign up close many times. He is not afraid to take the gloves off and whack his opponent over the head with the facts.

The fact is that Osama and Obama DO indeed both have friends who bombed the Pentagon. Obviously Obama is not evil like Obama but the issue is Obama's piss poor judgement about who his close associates, spiritual advisors and cohorts are. Lets see, we have Wright the racist who hates whites and America, Ayers, the pothead who bombed and killed Americans and to this day advocates a left wing anti American education method, ACORN, a bunch of left wing registration fraud extortionists...I mean advocates, Rezko, convicted crook who sold Obama land way below cost for his mansion, Michelle Obama who apparently was ashamed of America until her hubby won the primaries, The disgraced Franklin Raines who helped lead the way into this mortgage mess.

A black president would be great but you liberal assholes have picked an anti American, inexperienced, cocky, arrogant prick as your savior. Hillary is a bitch but at least she had some common sense and experience.  What is Obama but a younger, smoother version of community activist Jessie Jackson?

Hmmm... (Dave N. - 10/15/2008 7:39:58 AM)
...seems like someone's been reading a lot of spam e-mails recently. :)

Frederick (Samoyed - 10/17/2008 12:51:06 AM)
Nope.  I delete spam.  I read The Post, Times, Business week, MSN, Drudge and US News. Once in a while I watch Olberman just to see how nasty and irrational liberals can be. What a putz!  He is the left wing's Rush Limbaugh.

BTW At the Al Smith charity event in Manhattan, Obama and McCain roasted each other with standup comedy.  McCain was definitely better.
