Can anyone remember a campaign bouncing from place to place like that of John McCain? In just the past few weeks the McCain camp has made an unqualified and overtly political pick for VP, suspended his campaign to save the economy, embarked on savage attacks on Barack Obama and then backed off on them, announced a housing plan that everyone hates, announced some new plan to save the economy and then DROPPED the plan in the same day.
I understand that the campaign is listing and needs a new direction, but I don’t think a new direction every single day is the kind of “steady hand at the tiller” image that the American people want to see in these challenging times.
