I know this is a Virginia Site, and I wish I could compile links and info for all the counties and cities in Virginia, but I am a little strapped for time.
If someone wants to pick up other counties/cities, that would be awesome!
This Diary focuses on Northern Virginia, and how to Absentee Vote in Person. I did so in Loudoun County last Friday and it is super easy. More below the fold.
Depending on where you live in the NoVA area will determine where and when you can vote In person Absentee.

Each jurisdiction has different hours and rules, so please read. The Deadline for in Person Absentee is Nov 1 in most places. Double check to make sure.
This is a great way to vote early, and avoid the hassels on election day. Absentee Ballots are counted on Election day as with all the other votes. They are condensed into a single precint in the county/city (usually called the Central Absentee Precint) and are recorded with the other results on election night. It is also a good idea if you are considering helping your favored campaign in the last 72 hours, GOTV, or driving people to the polls. If you are going to volunteer for a Campaign, Vote absentee, it saves you stress.
Currently, 10 states have some form of Early voting going on right now. In Georiga, over 350,000 people have already voted early. So for many people, the election is already over.
If you qualify to vote absentee, I suggest going ahead and voting early to avoid the long lines on election day.
