Anyone who attacks a candidate's credibility from behind a veil of anonymity must be summarily discredited, outed, and virulently opposed.
Since there's no official police working this beat, it's up to responsible blog community to call this ugliness wherever it arises on the web.

You get respect right up to the point where your extremism erodes your abilty to reason.
When you make scurrilous personal attacks based on your belief that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a Socialist or a Communist, you lose your credibility.
If you and I could get through a conversation without such nonsense, you'd certainly earn respect. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm waiting.
On the "Swiftboat" attack, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Those attacks were politically motivated, and directly tied to the Republican party infrastructure. Those were the attacks Bush couldn't make himself, because he didn't have the military credibility to assert them: Cowardly assertions made by the chickenhawk Republican infrastructure.
How do you think it makes veterans feel when they know that Republicans want them to
a. risk their lives
b. sacrifice benefits and medical insurance
and
c. suffer reprehensible attacks on their personal character if they oppose the Republican agenda.
I'm not a veteran, but I'd imagine it makes many vets not want to support Republicans.
