The Alaska legislature's Troopergate probe into Gov. Sarah Palin may conclude its work and release its findings, the Alaska Supreme Court decided Thursday. The justices heard a last-minute appeal from several Republican legislators, supported by a Texas conservative legal group, to stop the investigation. And now (As reported by Rachel Maddow on MSNBC)Sarah Palin has cleared herself in a statement from the McCain campaign, saying the firing of Safety Director Montegan was over "budget disputes". This is a pre-emptive statement since the Alaskian legislature's report is not due out until tomorrow!
Would it be the death knell for McCain/Palin if she must face impeachment in Alaska before the Nov. 4 election?
