This is completely unscientific of course, but still an interesting snapshot of RK readers' preferences for governor of Virginia as of early October 2008. We'll repeat this poll sometime after November 4 and see if it changes at all.
P.S. By the way, who are the three RK readers who actually want "Taliban Bob" as their next governor?

The vote with the nickname that surprises me (Bryan Scrafford - 10/9/2008 11:34:25 PM)
I'm not too surprised that there are some RK readers who will vote for Bob McDonnell. After all, there are Republicans who read progressive blogs just as there are Democrats who read conservative blogs so it shouldn't be too surprising that there are some RK readers who might vote Republican. What surprises me somewhat is that someone actually voted for him even with that nickname being used. It makes me wonder if the votes were simply a joke.
Could we not do this? (Roland the HTG - 10/10/2008 12:15:55 AM)
I don't want to hear another word about governor until November 5th. To paraphrase Bobby Kennedy, the work is too great and our time is too short, to be spending an iota of focus or energy on dividing the party now. Yes, 2009 will be, eventually, as important as 2008, since it will decide how 5 more congressional elections play out, but for the next 26 days, no election is more important than 2008.
