Vote Vets his running this ad in Virginia with a $350,000 buy in target markets.
In the ad, Iraq War Vet Jason Beasly hits McCain for putting "rich friends ahead of vets like me" for skipping the critical vote on the GI bill, which he long opposed. Meanwhile, McCain has all but exhausted his public funding and his miserable poll numbers have got to have the wingnut 527's wondering where they might better use their funds. Why fight for a losing Presidential candidate, when you might be able to hang on to an endangered House or Senate seat?
A new day dawns in the Old Dominion.
I crossed over in 2000 to vote for McCain because of his support for campaign finance reform. Somehow, we need to get a Supreme Court and a President and a Congress that will come up with a way to finance federal campaigns within the political speech protections (the republican anti-venom)so that candidates are really, and not just because they say so, free of economic pressures of lobbyists and PACs.
The McCain of 2008 has discarded my 2000 vote for him because after I voted, he was slimed in South Carolina, and lost the nomination. All work on Campaign Finance Reform stopped, and McCain has hired the Slimers of 2000 to work on his 2008 campaign BECAUSE THEY ARE REALLY GOOD AT SLIMING!
Enough said. Obama will get this vet's vote!
