Barack Obama: 50 (+2 from a week ago)
John McCain: 47 (-3 from a week ago)
The SIX polls conducted in Virginia just over the last week have Obama leading by an average of 2 points... looks like Virginia is really going to come down to the wire!
Thanks, John. You're making Palin look bright.
I am still concerned about our using electronic voting machines. The test had no way of detecting a "bomb" which is a program designed to kick in at a specific date and time, such as on election day.
Also, I understand that many Virginia counties are nowing purchasing optical scan machines made by Premier. Premier is the new name of the Diebold company. Even the machines purchased don't count correctly so the company has pledged to send out a "patch" to "fix" the problem shortly before the election.
I just saw an interview today with a cyber security expert who says everywhere he has found evidence of vote fraud a fundmentalist Christian was involved somewhere in the chain of custody.
He also calls our voting system a national security threat since the best hacker can get in and some may be from other countries.
Steve Spoonamoore (A Republican supporting McCain) also makes a crucial point in these interviews about the people who have been implicated in much of the election theft: "They are religious extremists." He names those who know about stolen elections, and he insists that the only way to protect this election is with paper ballots, hand-counted. Check out this extraordinary interview at vetvetrevolution.com.
Unfortunately, I just can't shake visions of a Bradley/Wilder style election night. This is Virginia afterall, and it was not that long ago that Wilder was elected, barely.
