Today, Governor Tim Kaine launched his Moving Virginia Forward PAC (www.movingvirginiaforward.com).  The PAC "was formed to promote Virginia?s results-oriented governing tradition by supporting initiatives and leaders that show a strong commitment to making Virginia the best place in the world, to live, go to school, raise a family, work, retire, and do business."

The website promotes Tim Kaine and the agenda he has put forth for this year and the years to come.  Governor Kaine will be

"promoting a legislative agenda that is consistent with the issues he talked about in his successful campaign last fall of bringing people together behind the right priorities...[t]he Governor?s agenda includes common sense solutions to our transportation problems, a push to raise the focus of our public schools from competence to excellence, an initiative to ensure that our colleges and universities lead the way in research and an effort to give more management tools to our local governments."

Adam: It's a state (Corey - 4/4/2006 11:32:02 PM)
Adam:  It's a state PAC.  The current budget is left over inauguration cash.  additionally, being Kaine's PAC he cannot accept/solicit contributions while the GA is in session.  I also found a brief article on the PAC:

Laura gave me some p (Corey - 4/4/2006 11:32:02 PM)
Laura gave me some perspective, if George Allen wins this year he has the seat until 2012.  I suppose I already knew that but seeing it typed out made me realize how long and scary that is. (Then there's that whole presidential thing in 2008)

I'd love to see that (Sam K. - 4/4/2006 11:32:02 PM)
I'd love to see that ticket, but I think the Constitution precludes running-mates claiming the same state of residency (Kaine would have to pull a Cheney, and he's much too classy for that).  I personally like Blanche Lincoln as Warner's running mate.  Warner would easily win Arkansas alone, but Blanche would only solidify it, perhaps bringing Tennessee, West Virginia, and North Carolina because she only accentuates Warner's populist, progressive, pragmatic style of governance.  It'd also be good to have a Senator as a running mate as opposed to a governor (after all, they become Pres. of the Senate).  I'm hoping Tim Kaine will be able to run for Pres. after Warner's 8 years are up, but it would be nice to have a Warner/Kaine tkt.  Kaine actually has lots of options if I recall correctly (another term in 2013, Senate in 2008 if John Warner retires, Pres. in 2012 if we don't win the White House in 08).
