Apparently, John McCain's Campaign is NOT Suspended in Virginia

A reader emailed me the following information:

I just called...

...and asked if I can come in and volunteer. The person who took my call said, "Nobody told me not to come in." They are still actively enrolling volunteers. Somebody else should call to see if they are taking donations as well.

Hmmmm, very curious.  So, I called as well, and was told specifically that "volunteer activities are still ongoing" and that people are welcome/encouraged to come in and do so. That doesn't sound "suspended" to me (and I mentioned a couple of times that I was confused because John McCain said he was suspending his campaign).  The person on the phone sounded a bit hesitant as well, but said they're definitely open and that you can come in and volunteer. Huh?

According to his website, he launched two new web ads, including one called "Where's Obama?"  That is, before he dropped out and suspended his campaign.

Has McCain answered any questions from the press about this? Was he asked about it tonight on the three network appearances? It's one more point of accountability that he should not escape from.
