Yard Signs

I saw a diary on Daily Kos lamenting the author's inability to get yard signs here in Virginia. Yes, the local Obama offices are concentrating on the voter registration efforts and putting together a GOTV effort for election day but it is still important to have "stuff" for people who want to show visibly and emphatically that they are for Obama. FCDC here in Fairfax County just made a major sign buy and we at the Reston Farmers Market table, which is open at Lake Anne shopping center in Reston every Saturday morning from 8 am to noon, also have yard signs, buttons and bumper stickers. Come by. We believe that every yard sign posted in a person's yard says loudly and proudly ACTUAL VOTER HERE!!! and the same for each bumper sticker applied to someone's car bumper. Many of the other Farmer's Market tables, at McLean, Kingstowne and others also have yard signs and bumper stickers. Part of our volunteer effort, besides canvassing, phone banking and all the other necessary parts of a campaign, is to enable those who want to show their preference have the materials to do so. It's the same grassroots effort that helped put Jim Webb (and aren't we proud of him!) into office and we want to do our part for Obama. If you want a yard sign, call FCDC or stop by a farmers market table. We'll do our best to find what you need.
