Getting Bullied out of Virgil Goode's 9/11 Pay-to-Play Fundraiser

On September 11th, 2008 Representative Virgil Goode was the beneficiary of a corporate fundraiser across the street from the US Capitol for his wealthiest special interests.

Unfortunately, while Goode is willing to advertise his seat on the Appropriations Committee to corporate special interests and PACs, he isn't interested in hearing the voice of one concerned citizen who tried to attend for $20.

The Appropriations Committee seat "Irrelevant?" Hardly.

The address: 101 Constitution Avenue (across the street from the US Capitol)

The actual invite is in this video. And right above the picture of the Capitol is an advertisement of Virgil's seat on the Appropriations Committee.

Other lobbyists in the building: Honeywell, FedEx, Washington Gas.

When asked about Goode's seat on the Appropriations Committe...a representative said "that has no relevance." Really?

The event was not sold out but the representative said it was closed....."We don't need you here."

No surprise, Republicans like Virgil Goode don't need concerned citizens from his district when raising money from corporate lobbyists.
