Right Wing Extremist Welcomes McCain-Palin to Fairfax

You don't get much more politically extreme and out-of-the-mainstream than RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick - among many other things, Frederick touts the fact that he is an "active member" in the secretive, far-right-wing Council for National Policy (CNP).  Which is why I think it's so revealing that Frederick believes that "John McCain and Sarah Palin are exactly the kind of leaders Virginians embrace."  In short, when an extremist like Frederick believes someone is a-ok, you know they're not. Anyway, here's the press release from Frederick's RPV:

Frederick welcomes GOP ticket to Virginia

McCain and Palin to make joint campaign appearance in Fairfax on Wednesday

Woodbridge, Virginia (September 8, 2008) - Delegate Jeffrey M. Frederick, Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia, cheered the news this morning that the Republican ticket of Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin will be in Northern Virginia Wednesday morning.

"John McCain and Sarah Palin are exactly the kind of leaders Virginians embrace - conservative, yet independent-minded reformers who are results oriented. As Senator Fred Thompson said, the alligators in Washington might not like our ticket much, but we in Virginia are ready to help them drain that business-as-usual swamp on the other side of the Potomac," Frederick said.

"With just days having passed since receiving the presidential and vice-presidential nomination, it is obvious that the Senator and Governor are making Virginia a top priority," Frederick added. "Enthusiasm for John McCain and Sarah Palin is sky-high here; the citizens of the Commonwealth are thrilled to welcome McCain and Palin and to have the chance to see them up-close and in-person."

Virginia has not voted Democrat for President since 1964, and Virginia Republicans say that streak won't change in 2008.

The McCain/Palin rally will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 10:00 a.m., at Fairfax County High School. Doors Open at 8:00a.m.

Comments

I am really confused (oldsoldier - 9/8/2008 12:58:31 PM)
With Biden, especially, and Obama "playing nice" with comments about McCain and Palin.

It is High Time to call a lie a lie.  It is past time to use an offense rather than the pathetic defenses of the Obama Campaign.

Are Obama's advisors next in line to become admirable people but failed advisors?

TOUGH means attack, not wait and defend!

The bottom feeders at the political trough are interested in making life as easy as they can for the rich.  McCain says he's looking for dollar a year men. Are we stupid enough to believe that the people/companies/parties/think tanks now employing these people wouldn't pay $15M apiece just to get them in the cabinet and then take care of them for life like the republican party is doing with Jim Gilmore and George Allen?

Confused may be a polite term for the "P" word.  Damn it, stop sparring and START FIGHTING!

"Fairfax County High School"??? (adshubert - 9/8/2008 2:17:32 PM)
And where exactly might this "Fairfax County High School" be that they mention?  Is it near Walter Reed Middle School/Hospital?  In the whitewashed fantasy 1950 minds of the RPV?  Glad the RPV and McCain camp are truly in touch with Northern Virginia and Fairfax in particular.  Imagine they'll just pack 'em in at Fairfax County High School once they find the Magic Railway to get 'em there.

That's what I wondered... (Doug in Mount Vernon - 9/8/2008 3:32:03 PM)
What, are they not publicly releasing the name of the high school for fear that they'll have too many Obama fans showing up to out-shout their henchmen?

Welcome McCain-Palin (Mary I - 9/8/2008 3:59:00 PM)
I assume they are talking about Fairfax High
School located in the City of Fairfax.....just stone's throw from the Army-Navy Club.
I kind of like the idea of Obama signs along the way,but I don't know if the signs are in yet

What happened to her (bigforkgirl - 9/8/2008 5:02:45 PM)
spending a few hours with her son before he deploys, or will she be making a "foreign" trip to see him as part of a foreign relations (?) trip?
