A quote I saw in another report said that Haskins "just played his five best players" - to me, a very simple idea that is still frequently not invoked today. If only Yale in the mid-1960's had the guts to admit only qualified students, perhaps our President would have found a different career.
Until the likes of Don Haskins becomes the norm, affirmative action must remain part of our national policy.
