UPDATE: Meanwhile, McCain outright lies about Palin supposedly selling the state airplane on eBay. The fact is that she TRIED to sell it on eBay but failed to do so. Of course, the McCain campaign doesn't care about issues, so why should it care about facts?

I was joking that if Palin was there, well, she wouldn't be that close to someone who might actually ask her a question that her handlers hadn't prepped her for.

Rick Davis explained this morning that Sarah Palin has already told Americans all they need to know about her. Making her answer stupid press questions is just unfair, sexist, mudslinging piling on. It's not like the other candidates ever have to appear on news shows, in town halls, and before news cameras and answer questions on the fly ... oh wait.

I am watching Washington Week right now from George Mason Lisner Auditorium, and Jeanne Cummings just answered a question about this subject.

I wish I had a video clip, and will try to get one to post. But, in answering the question if the media had been biased, blah blah blah, she basically said, NO!

This woman [Palin] possibly could be the President as soon as November 5, and we need to know what she's all about! Jeanne Cummings basically dismissed all critics without delay.

Priceless.
