Also, see the "flip" for another excellent explanation. Maybe Ghoul-iani, Palin, McSame et al. should check these out before they slander community organizers again. Oh wait, I forgot; for Republicans, FACTS DON'T MATTER.
It's interesting that Palin would say out of one side of her mouth that her husband is a member of the United Steel Workers Union -- while on the other side slandering the work done by the kind of people who actually established those unions.
I don't know anything about the girl in the second video, but she is awesome.
Guess what they're talking about today? Yeah, The speech. But specifically making fun of "community organizer" as a job title.
comment eg: " household organizer" = mom
as much as I respect the role and his experience in that regard, they have to reframe it. It connotates light weight and labor.
frankly its shocking the campaign has utilized that title. especially in the south. think big picture please Axelrod/Plouffe. this seems like such a gimme. am i nuts ?
At lunch today with a group of professional women, (engineer, MD, periodontist, lawyer), they all essentially agreed with what you cited -- that although "community organizer" is important work, it doesn't qualify one to work in the Oval office.
Also, all the women commented at how angry they are at the sexist crap Palin is putting up with -- talk about her record, her policies, but stop with the sexist garbage.
Lastly, my girlfriend summed it up nicely -- these are difficult and dangerous times. Our safety and security is a big issue. We all know McCain's record on issues, and it is there on the table for dissection and discussion. But Obama doesn't have a record to dissect and discuss, and that is a concern. No commentator has been able to point to a single, significant accomplishment Obama has achieved -- and that is troubling.
I don't understand why the Democrats wouldn't have thought about this before nominating him. His lack of gravitas and real and quantifiable accomplishments to study and consider is a problem.
There is NOTHING troubling about Barrack Obama. He has shown the finest traits of inspirational leadership, through out this whole campaign. Intelligent articulate and compassionate. In my life I've spent a lot of time observing "leaders" and for a fair amount of that time as a Marine Corps Officer. Obama is as good as it gets. Only General Anthony Zinni comes to mind as a natural and inspiring leader .... who could share the same stage as Obama.
So do me a favor and take your negativity somewhere else .... because spoofing and trolling doesn't work here.
