[NOTE:  There continues to be some question about the methodology involved in this analysis.  The main issue revolves around the district boundaries for statewide and House of Delegates races.  If anyone has any more insight to add, that would be much appreciated.  Thanks.]

True, John Montgomery lost to Chris Peace tonight, but the Democrats performed very well, making big gains over Kaine-Kilgore just a few months ago.  This could bode very well for the future.  Check it out.

Tim Kaine won Henrico County by 8 percentage points (53.24%-45.06%).  John Montgomery won Henrico by 17 percentage points (57.8%-41.1%). +9 percentage points for the Democrats.

Kilgore won King William County by 12 points (54.90%-42.69%).  Peace barely held King William by 3 points (51.1%-48.0%).  +9 points for the Democrats

Kilgore won Spotsylvania County by 10 points (53.96%-43.78%).  Peace won Spotsylvania by 1 point (49.3%-48.2%).  +9 points for the Democrats

Kilgore won New Kent County by 17 points (57.29%-40.39%). Peace won New Kent by 3 percentage points (51.3%-41.8%).  +14 points for the Democrats
