More Cat Entrails...

This is like the ancient Egyptian sifting through steaming cat entrails trying to divine the future.
...buzz circulated after the Illinois senator held a private meeting with Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and his staff Thursday morning.
Both men were mum on what was discussed, and Kaine - considered to be among those at the top of Obama's VP shortlist - wouldn't comment on whether he was offered the coveted position.
"I'm going to let the campaign speak for the campaign," Kaine said, and later refused to indicate whether he had been ruled out for the position. "He visited with my staff just to basically say hi to them and thank them for all their hard work."
Just a social visit, that makes sense. But of course! :)

held a townhall meeting together in Chester this morning, don't you think they would naturally meet before to discuss how the event would go?
Could be... (Lowell - 8/21/2008 4:55:24 PM)
...or could be more than that. We'll find out soon enough, methinks.
Jonathan Alter of Newsweek (Johnny Camacho - 8/21/2008 5:07:20 PM)
suggested today that the text message announcement might be sent out tonight during the Olympics, both to give the Obama campaign a full 36 hours to prepare for Saturday's event, and to ensure that the breaking news report which will follow the announcement is seen by 30 million NBC viewers.

the announcmnet - just two much play with the McCain house thing - do not want to get that out of the newscycle.
This sounds like a great move if true. (mishanti - 8/21/2008 7:57:16 PM)
I have read 3 differant people online all make the case for 3 differant VP choices. Kaine, Sebelius, and Richardson. All fairly successful governors. While I like Gov. Kaine, there is so much left for him to do here in VA to leave to a Republican. I lived in MA for many years and it was almost routine for our governors to win elections and leave early to take some federal position. I like a governor to stick around and finish his or her job. Well, whom ever it is will be a good choice.
What, Obama's never stopped by for a social visit with you before? ;-) (Silence Dogood - 8/21/2008 5:11:28 PM)
