This might work to scrub green house gases from coal plants

Here's an interesting article on ScienceDaily.com about UVA which is studying how boosting the carbon dioxide 'fed' to algae, production of this potential biofuel goes up (oil yield increases by up to 40%). The article does mention that this could be used to scrub some of the CO2 emitted by say a coal plant. That would be like killing two birds with one stone. Seems like you could just bubble the untreated emissions straight up through an algae tank like a gigantic aquarium filter. Anyway, it seems it would be an interesting mashup. I wonder if UVA has any research into scrubbing CO2 out of coal burning plant emissions?
