Glad to see some attack ads finally coming out of the Obama camp. I was starting to grow worried that the Dems would ONCE AGAIN fall into the Republican trap of "ohh let's have a positive happy-go-lucky campaign."
It would be great if we could have a substantive, intelligent campaign but the RNC has proven time and time again over the past few decades that it's not willing to be honest.
As I hear it, the Conventional Wisdom has hastily concluded that the Russian invasion of Georgia has returned national security to top billing, and "helped" McCain... ignoring the fact that the Georgians provided the incident (probably with our connivance) which opened the opportunity for the Russian counter-attack/invasion, and ignoring the fact none of this would have occurred if we had had a more intelligent foreign policy and were not bogged down in Bush's mess in Iraq. The media immediately and blindly falls into line behind the Republican party line.
Where, by the way, was Condi hiding out during the run-up to this dandy little war? She did not go to Beijing for the Olympics, apparently.
