What's McCain's biggest obstacle to becoming President? Well, he's favoring policies that help only the well off and, furthermore, he himself is super rich by marrying into money.
The only way he can pre-empt attacks on his elitist policies is to turn Obama into the elitist. George W. Bush could (somehow) almost get away with this because, even though he's morally bankrupt and is himself super rich, he had a carefully crafted public image that he built over a decade. McCain doesn't have that. In fact, it's McCain that has courted celebrity by appearing multiple times on SNL, on the Daily Show, in movies, on TV, etc. He's completely out of touch and favors the continuation of unpopular policies.
So, attack Obama on that front. 1-2-3 ...
Sad that our establishment media mavens can't bother to connect these dots after eight years of this bullshit.
You're right; it made me really mad (Barbara - 8/8/2008 5:40:12 PM)
Every time I hear "I'm John McCain and I approved this ad" I want to scream. Give me Paris anyday.
Yep, I'm mad (Catzmaw - 8/8/2008 7:27:47 PM)
Factcheck.org pointed out in its recent analysis of McCain's (false) claim that he has an alternative energy plan that he is continuing to repeat the lie that Obama will raise taxes on lower income people and small businesses. Obama's campaign needs to hit hard on the celebrity issue - WHEN are we going to see the audio lifted out of one of McCain's commercials and imposed over a mix of McCain's multiple appearances on various shows and in movies? I'd also like to see Obama's campaign use the language from Factcheck pointing out that McCain keeps repeating something he knows is a lie.
My son asked me yesterday why McCain was running mean ads (VA Breeze - 8/11/2008 11:37:46 AM)
during the Olympics - even a kid knows better than Mcsame
with the smirky, whispery tone that says "I've-got-a-delicious-bit-of-gossip-just for you" is what turns me off---- so much like those nauseating ads the pharmaceutical companies ran to defeat a reasonable prescription bill in order to force their own rape-consumers prescription legislation down our throats. Question: is the same ad company producing Old Mac's political commercials as did the pharmaceutical ads, as well as other corporate lobbying ads? Sure sounds like it, you can spot 'em a mile away.
I liked the black and white You Tube commentary by Obama's researcher on the real Obama tax plans. Where or where are the Obama counter ads to the above garbage? I mean, plain, down to earth black and white (which stand out and grabs attention) stating flatly "McCain can't read, here is the true scoop on Obama, and why do you suppose old Buddy McCain is lying"?
MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell (Terry85 - 8/12/2008 1:57:30 PM)
straight up called this a "bald-faced lie" yesterday on the air.
