Gov. Mark Warner, Rep. Jim Moran, Rep. Bobby Scott and five other Democratic Congressional candidates will launch canvasses across Virginia on Saturday morning to begin the 100-day push before Election Day.Warner and the Congressional candidates will join volunteers across Virginia as part of the "100 Days to History" canvass this weekend. The volunteers will knock on their neighbors' doors to talk about the importance of voting for Warner, Barack Obama and the Democratic congressional slate.
The statewide event on Saturday, run by the Democratic Party of Virginia's Coordinated Campaign, includes canvasses in 23 counties and independent cities around the Commonwealth.
Gov. Warner will kick off a canvass in Fredericksburg at 10 A.M. on Saturday. Congressional incumbents and candidates kicking off canvasses include: Glenn Nye (VA-02), Rep. Bobby Scott (VA-03), Tom Perriello (VA-05), Sam Rasoul (VA-06), Anita Hartke (VA-07), Rep. Jim Moran (VA-08) and Judy Feder (VA-10).
In conjunction with the Coordinated Campaign effort, Barack Obama's Campaign for Change will join in hosting "100 Day" kickoffs this weekend.The Coordinated Campaign canvasses will take place in the following 23 cities and counties:
Tidewater - Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg
Northern Virginia - Prince William County, Fairfax, Fairfax City, Alexandria, Arlington, Loudoun County
Richmond - Chesterfield County, Henrico County
Roanoke Valley - Roanoke City, Roanoke County
Charlottesville area - Albemarle County, Fluvanna County, Charlottesville
Fredericksburg area - Fredericksburg, King George County, Spotsylvania County

The Coordinated Campaign is working to elect Barack Obama, Mark Warner and the Democratic slate of Congressional candidates.
