Inauguration--Looking Back

The inauguration turned out to be an incredible weekend, worth far more than just dressing up and going to parties. It's hard to put this into words, but there was a point where I met up with some friends from the campaign staff after the swearing in...we were all wet to the bone, but the smiles could not get contained by our faces. Finally someone spoke--"Amazing, just amazing...Can you possibly believe it?" We all just laughed and smiled even harder!
That, in a nutshell, summarizes things. It was just all so remarkable to realize that we really were a part of it all...Now I'll let my pictures tell a bit of what it was like...
Anne Holton meeting a child from Mary's Family.
Taking in an arena full of supporters
May the circle be unbroken...
Tim Kaine, bluegrass star
Greeting family at the pre-inaugural prayer service
Even the threat of rain was not going to wash the smile off this face
Meeting Colonial Williamsburg interpreters
Mark Warner, reflecting on his last minutes as governor
Swearing in
That's my dad!
What a beautiful day!

I hope Anne Holton will be successful in spearheading reform in Social Services, J&D, and the archaic Virginia system of custody and visitation and bring in the family court to rid the system of adversarial relations.

Tim Kaine, Bluegrass star...
I really do think he could do a bluegrass instrumental album, like for charity.
Maybe he'll go to Dr Ralph Stanley's Hills of Home festival in May and show off some!

Great candid photos, better than any staged photo op. Thanks for sharing.
