WARREN: "THAT'S THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT."
GILMORE: "I don't care what the federal government says. We know that that's not right. The fact is we can bring in the oil quicker than that."
Ha, that's great, Gilmore knows more than the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) does about oil. Suuuuuure. Even better, Gilmore knows more about oil than legendary oil man T. Boone Pickens, who says "I've been an oil man all my life, but this is one emergency we can't drill our way out of."
What next, Jim Gilmore tells a brain surgeon how to operate? More likely, Jim Gilmore tries to tell Virginia voters how he actually DIDN'T leave a multi-billion-dollar budget mess for Mark Warner to clean up and how he really DIDN'T bankrupt the state. Yeah, we believe you...riiiiiight.
Yes, while there, he was also bragging on keeping his word on his former electoral ploy for Governor, the infamous NO CAR TAX pledge.
