Thanks to a tip from the "Cave Spring Connection's" Gene Marano, earlier today (Saturday, June 21) Roanoke County Democratic Committee Chairman Brian Lang and I got a chance to view the "Bush Legacy Tour" bus, which is under final construction right here in the little old Roanoke Valley of Virginia. While there, we spoke with Paul Neaville of "Americans United for Change", the group that is sponsoring the bus.
To learn more about this remarkable bus and the message - about President George W. Bush's failed policies and practices for the past eight years - that it will be delivering to tens of thousands of people all over America for the next five months, please go to this website: http://www.bushlegacytour.com/... and be sure to click on the video link there.
There's also a Sunday, June 22 Roanoke Times newspaper article, complete with photograph and further discussion, available at this link: http://www.roanoke.com/news/ro...
If you look closely at the interior photo of the bus, you'll see Brian wearing his "Sam Rasoul for Congress" t-shirt and me in my "Mark Warner for U. S. Senate" t-shirt as well as my ever-present VT Hokies cap...
While attending the Mark Warner campaign rally at Dick Cranwell's law office in Vinton this morning, Brian and I talked with reporter Gene Marano, who told us that the "Bush Legacy Tour" bus was located at Star City Coachworks at 1000 Tinker Avenue in Vinton. So, as soon as we were done at Cranwell's office, we rode over to see the bus, and it is most impressive!
When you go to the Bush Legacy Tour website as provided above, please be sure to sign up to be notified about the bus schedule and, as always, stay tuned for more exciting news...
Thanks!
Steve
