In both cases the calls kept breaking up in most inconvenient places.
In both cases I was asked for money.
In both cases I asked for the web site, since I would no more give my credit card to a cold caller than I would "egg" my neighbors house.
The caller for Warner told me that they were located in Minnesota, and no, they did not have a web address for the candidate.
The caller for the 5th District started his cell phone call with a garbled reference to "Faith Based something-or-other" (indistinguishable) on the faulty assumption that everyone in this part of the world must be slavering for a candidate promoting some Christian foolishness.
After I reassembled the scattered pieces of my poor head, I got to thinking seriously about this.
They could not provide a web address for Mark Warner in this day and age? Have they learned nothing from Howard Dean and Barack Obama?
Call signals that are so weak that they make determining the name of the candidate impossible to understand? And, demographic plotting that disadvantages the candidate among some in the electorate, without any attempt to determine the responders position?
Both of these candidates need to take a serious look at their outreach strategies - real quick.
