It's been a long primary season, so it is almost easy to forget that congressional primaries in some states are only just getting started. Next week is the Virginia primary and there is one tried and true progressive who needs our support to win against a corporate, machine-style Democrat. But first Leslie must beat a defense contractor who works for one of the worst war-mongering profiteering firms in the business. He just decided to be against the war- now that it is politically convenient. Leslie has strong roots in this community, having served the people as a former congresswoman, state representative and state senator. Time and again, Leslie has stuck to her progressive principles and stood up against the odds to provide leadership. We can make sure Leslie adds to the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. His employer has potentially violated federal election commission rules on his behalf. We want a Democrat who will stand up and fight for what they believe in.
