With this comment, I now firmly believe in the theory that if behind every successful man is an equally successful woman, then it must also be true that behind every idiotic man there must also be an idiotic woman.
One can not define the word "inept" any better than pointing to Bush's failure following Katrina. Is Mrs. Bush proud that her husband's debacle may be slightly better than an extremely poor third-world nation's?
Ironically, during the 2004 tsunami, the government of Sweden took three days to rescue all 3000 of its citizens vacationing in Thailand, compared to the efforts of Norway and Denmark, which only took two days. Many credit this "failure" from 8,000 miles away, with the downfall of the Swedish Social-Democratic government in the next election cycle.
Sadly, the misery and devastation in New Orleans persists, and yet the efforts of our own government continues to be inept. Where is Laura Bush's outcry on this front?
