Most of the entries are attacks and most have said nothing useful. Most are based on Ben's personal hatred toward Gerry. None have covered an issue that's relevant to voters.
Lowell, as a Obama supporter, you should decry such attacks like this. I'm an Obama supporter and it's not in line with how decent campaigns should be waged. We know Leslie Byrne reads that blog because she reads this one and, if I'm not mistaken, she has posted here a couple of times. We know Ben used to work for Leslie, so it's not hard to see she knows what's going on. It's disgraceful that she doesn't stop the attacks or ask Ben to stop -- or perhaps it's all by design.
In any case, it's now how a campaign should be run, it's not about any issues, no compelling reasons to vote for Leslie have been offered on that blog. Of course, it's his blog and you have you have yours. But I ask you, a person many of us have some respect for because you run a good blog that covers actual issues, to denounce what's been happening over on Not Larry Sabato. What are your thoughts on all of these "Gerry Sucks" entries? Why do we have to know about entries such as Gerry shopping at a local store for clothes? Or all sorts of other irrelevant things?
Obama people are better than this. You can't have it both ways to support Obama and his vision and ideals, but then stay silent while a nasty campaign -- against a fellow Democrat nonetheless -- is being waged using old style politics that people are sick of. It's insulting to people's intelligence.
We know you're a Leslie supporter and that's great. But how can you possibly support what's going on over there? How does that help her?
I really think Ben's antics are starting to hurt Leslie.
I'd agree with GeorgetownStudent, but with a twist - if you don't like it, blog it. Post diaries here pointing out what you see as inaccuracies. If you keep doin' it and doin' it and doin' it well, you'll bring the credibility of NLS into question.
But unless you have a specific case for libel, the "I'm offended and outraged and this must be condemned" game becomes a vicious circle.
