Fun Times in Richmond Today

If you're a rock-ribbed right-winger, it certainly looks like fun times in Richmond today.  Check out this schedule and this lineup for the "Virginia Conservative Leadership Conference!"

*At 9:20 am, a panel on "illegal immigration" with Corey Stewart and Greg Letiecq.  Should be fun!  Si se puede!

*At 10:20 am, you can hear George Landrith of the group Frontiers of Freedom, which has -- among other things -- "lobbied heavily against environmental regulations designed to reduce global warming...and also railed against plaintiffs who sued the tobacco companies after contracting lung cancer from smoking."

*At 1:10 pm, you can hear Chris Freund of The Family Foundation possibly rail against those dastardly "Homosexual advocates [who] are working through school curricula and student groups such as 'Gay-Straight Alliances' to bring their message to children in Virginia," as well as to "to diminish the status of marriage by providing marriage benefits to any relationship."  Should be a "gay" old time! :)

*Then, at 2:25 pm, you can listen to the guy running for reelection as Virginia's lieutenant governor, Bill Bolling, undoubtedly say "ditto" to everything that's come previously.

*And on and on it goes.  At 3:30 pm, you're in for a treat, as two of the most far-right-wingers in the Virginia General Assembly -- "Ayatollah" Ken Cuccinelli and Jeff Frederick -- talk about how life begins BEFORE conception or how we need to outlaw homosexuality or whatever it is they're foaming at the mouth about these days.

*Then, to cap it all off, there's Jim Gilmore at 4 pm to undoubtedly tell everyone how he drove Virginia into the ditch and how Mark Warner saved the state after his debacle of a governorship.  Or did I mix that up?  Oh well, anyway...I'm sure Bob McDonnell will clear it all up at the "Reagan Banquet" at 6 pm.

As I said, "fun times in Richmond today." Check it out!
