...I had/have no time to go to events like these. But I no nothing about the candidates except Leslie Byrne. This was very informative and interesting.The two lesser known candidates seem like real nice people. And quite sincere in their desire to help out 11th CD. But where was Gerry?

Gerry had an international trade delegation visiting that he was previously committed to hosting. The Chamber knew about it in advance, but there was no way to change things around.... but Gerry has committed to several other debates including the 4 way "Cross-fire" format we will do on live TV on June 1st with audience participation by phone, email, and blog as always, and now with live video streaming for those outside of the cable coverage area. Leslie has also agreed to the 1st of June and we expect to hear from Doug and Lori soon. In the mean time we are working on getting Judy Feder and Mike Turner for a similar "Cross-fire" format and any others contests as requested and available. We will try for several dual moderator head on head Dem vs Repub starting in late August or September.

I hope the quality that all the volunteers doing all of this stuff is coming through.... there are no paid employees involved with the Inside Scoop shows..... some of us just don't have the legs to canvas and we would rather do this with video cameras than telephones....

And probably Lori as well.... I am not the primary point of contact though, George Burke is and he has done a masterful job of getting these opportunities organized.... with fund raisers, canvassing, meet & greets, etc. etc. it is an amazingly complicated task to do this with two candidates..... now add the level of complication by adding two more.....

All 11th Candidates have committed - the format is meet and great with a small interaction of questions for the candidates.
