Snow began falling for the first time this season on Friday on Mount Hermon and continued Saturday, covering the northern mountain. Some 65 centimeters have collected on top the mountain thus far, with 50 centimeters at the bottom of the slopes.
Yes, Virginia, there IS a "white Christmas" this year. In Israel.
P.S. Sadly, according to Ha'aretz, "Contrary to predictions, snow did not fall in Jerusalem, where temperatures remained just above freezing." For that, we have to go back to last December.
