I just received this and found it very interesting. The article that Gore's aide, Kalee Kreider, refers to is this one. So much for that!
Dear all,Want to make something clear--there are some mis-reports out there stemming from a piece that ran in Scotland on Sunday which alleged that former VP Gore and President Carter are somehow working together to force a candidate out of the Democratic race. I have been unable to get the paper to print a retraction.
The bottom line is that Mr. Gore isn't involved in the primary. The article is completely spurious and false. Our office was never contacted for comment about the piece and we do not know the source who made the allegation other than to say that it was no one in or around our orbit.
Just wanted to make sure that you all were aware given that you all are thought leaders.
I apologize for not getting this out yesterday--it was--as you know--a bit, busy with all of the goings on...

By the way, for those who say that the BLOGS aren't reliable, I find it fascinating that Al Gore's office tried in vain to get the newspaper in question to print a retraction, then turned to the blogs as a means of getting out the true story.
