Mike recognizes that the netroots is having a bigger and bigger impact every election cycle in Virginia. He wants to "build on the netroots success that Jim Webb had and that Tim Kaine had". He thinks the netroots can be used to "Harness Energy, Build Infrastructure, fundraising, message development and distribution, field, political intelligence", and as a "new opportunity to reach out to voters". He wants the entire internet operation to be "integral" to the campaign, and "part of the operation" not something to be put on the side.I told Mike one Congressional candidate here had already said he was proud NOT to have the support of the netroots and asked what concerns he had about our involvement in the campaign. His answer was emphatic, he has "no concerns at all". The Virginia Democratic blogosphere was "one of the best developments we have had in recent years".
