The first stop will be Fairfax County Fire Station #40. Fire Station #40 is the largest fire station in Fairfax County and was the first Fairfax County municipal building to meet LEED standards. The second stop is the Pentagon Metro Entrance Facility. The Pentagon Metro Facility is the first Department of Defense facility to receive LEED certification. The metro stop is a unique example of blending security needs and environmentally friendly building standards. The final stop on the tour will be the Walter Reed Community Center. The Walter Reed Community Center is a 30,000-square-foot community center offering a full range of recreation and leisure programs for all ages. The Walter Reed community center incorporates environmentally sensitive features designed to achieve LEED certification.
Following the final stop the Power2Change campaign will be hosting a reception at the Walter Reed Community Center. Join us for all or some stops of the tour!
