With regard to Ken Cuccinelli announcing for Attorney General, I have nothing more at this time to add to what NLS has to say. Right Ron?

UPDATE: For more on Cuccinelli, see here  and here.  Also, from today's Washington Post:

...NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, the abortion rights organization, issued a statement yesterday criticizing not only Cuccinelli's opposition to abortion but that of the other two likely statewide candidates as well.

"NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia will work every minute from now until November 3, 2009, to ensure that voters understand the extreme records of McDonnell, Bolling and Cuccinelli," said Tarina Keene, the organization's executive director. "These three men are out of touch with Virginia voters, a majority of whom believe the decision to terminate a pregnancy should be a private and personal one made by a woman in consultation with her physician and her family."

By the way, for anyone who thinks their vote doesn't matter, remember that Cooch beat Janet Oleszek by just 101 votes in November.  If he had lost, he'd almost certainly not be running for AG.

Cuccinelli refuses to return a $700 contribution from "Unindicted Co-Conspirator #5" in the trial of convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian (Jonathan Mark - 4/1/2008 2:17:22 AM)
Readers of Raising Kaine should be aware that Ken Cuccinelli raised $15,900 from officials of the raided Safa Group, according to the 7/14/05 Connection Newspapers.

That includes $700 from Taha J. Al-Alwani (cf. VPAP.org) on 7/31/02. The problem is that Al-Alwani was "Unindicted Co-Conspirator #5" at the trial of the now-convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian, according to the 3/23/03 St. Petersburg Times. Court documents indicated that Al-Alwani had funded Al-Arian's Islamic Jihad front group.

We must not have an AG who, when he takes phone calls from his  campaign contributors, is taking calls from those who support violent jihad. If Cuccinelli refuses to return Al-Arian's $700 then the appropriate conclusion is that as AG Cuccinelli will fail to perform his counterterrorism duties.

Please click on my name to visit a website which contains corroboration of the above, and of much else about Cuccinelli besides. Just as an iceberg is most dangerous below the water, the Ken Cuccinelli that you don't see is more dangerous than what you do.

Maybe some Virginians want to give Cuccinelli the opportunity to play footsie with terrorists in the AGs office, but most of us don't.
