My neighbor on this side of the street, the Obamamaniac (I'm simply an Obamaphile), invited the Republican lady over to see Obama's race speech last week. Now the Republican lady says she will vote for Obama because he stood by his minister. She likes people how can't be pushed around.
sounds like (jsrutstein - 3/24/2008 9:57:16 PM)
your side of the street needs to host an election-eve party, making sure to keep the neighbors from the other side away from the big bad conservative mainstream media :)
I wonder though... (acluka - 3/25/2008 8:49:13 AM)
How widespread is this? I mean, are we going to care about Obama's Pastor in October? I think, to a degree, we have all have been caught by the MSN's sensationalistic tactic of getting their ratings up for sweeps (or whatever). For me, I want to pull my hair out whenever people make a decision based on Obama's Pastor, because.... really, it doesn't matter. Obama's Pastor will not define our policy for the next four years, He will not be handling the economy, he will not handle the situation in the Middle East.
I guess that Obama's speech (which was wonderful, and must have struck a chord because people still can't decide whether it was good or bad a week later, and we are still talking about it) may be the important thing to come out about this.
