* A coalition of South Arlington community organizations is sponsoring a debate among School Board candidates on Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. at Wakefield High School.* The PTAs of Washington-Lee, Wakefield and Yorktown high schools and the H-B Woodlawn Program are sponsoring a School Board candidate forum on Tuesday, April 1 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Washington-Lee High School.
Democratic candidates for two school board seats include incumbent Libby Garvey, plus challengers Karla Hagan, Terron Sims, Reid Goldstein, Emma Violand-Sanchez and James Lander. The Democratic endorsement election will be held on two days -- May 1 and May 3 -- just over 5 weeks from now.
