Today comes word that Montana Republican Sen. Conrad Burns "plans to return $150,000 in campaign contributions he collected from controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff and his associates, reversing a position his office had taken days earlier."  For good measure, Burns "went further and called on other lawmakers to return contributions from Abramoff, his clients and his associates," saying that ""This is an important step that all public officials should take in order to renew the faith of . . . all Americans, in their government."

So, how about our own Conservative Republican Senator, George Allen and the sleazy, dirty money - thousands of dollars - he received from Abramoff and friends (e.g. the Alexander Strategy Group, Tom DeLay's former chief of staff Tony Rudy)?  How about other Virginia Republicans like Eric Cantor (7th District), Tom Davis (11th District) and Virgil Goode (5th District)?  Do these people agree with Burns that returning the money is necessary to "renew the faith of . . . all Americans, in their government?  Or not?
