- Reps. Jim Moran & Bobby Scott and Sen. Jim Webb made honor roll
- Reps. Eric Cantor, Thelma Drake, Virgil Goode, and Bob Goodlatte didn't just fail, they all managed to get 10 percent or below
- Rep. Frank Wolf barely passed
- Sen. Hillary Clinton scored a measly 73 percent while Sen. Barack Obama was even worse at 67 percent
- Sen. John McCain, who the media keeps telling me is a moderate on the environment, got a remarkable zero percent
The elections are still a long way out, so let's keep reminding voters about the scores of McCain and the Virginia Representatives up for re-election as November gets closer.
His mythical independent streak is just that: a myth calculated to cover for the fact that he's the among Senate's biggest sellouts.
In the past three Congresses, McCain's ratings were 41%, 56%, and 36%.
He's not so much anti-environment, he's more anti-showing up for work.
But, given that his recent average is in the low 40% range, I'd wouldn't say he's "not so much anti-environment". 40% ain't a very good number when we've got serious environmental problems to solve and very little time to solve them.
I'd say he's 60% anti-environment with a whole lot of recent indifference thrown in. That's a big two thumbs down for McCain and the environment.
