Hokies supporting NIU

Knowing full well how a campus shooting can affect the student body's psyche, Virginia Tech is showing support for their counterparts at Northern Illinois:

All fans attending the game are encouraged to wear red and black to show their support for the Northern Illinois University community. Many universities, schools, groups and individuals reached out to the Hokie Nation after the tragedy of April 16th.

Classy move by Hokie nation.

We held a vigil for our fallen friends.  Our famous "Let's Go...Hokies"  cheer suddenly became "Let's Go...Huskies!"  We've never done that before.  We've never lent anybody our cheer.  

Hokies stand with Huskies.
