Due to the overwhelming number of public comments, and increasingly pressure (and maybe Valentines), the Department of Environmental Quality announced they are moving next Tuesday’s public hearing on the Wise County Power Plant to a larger venue because they expecting a huge turnout
The hearing will now take place at Richmond Marriott Hotel, 4240 Dominion Blvd. Glen Allen. The hearing starts at 5:00, but if you wanna speak, we recommend you sign-in around 4:00.
The hearing was originally planned for a venue with a capacity of less than a hundred. But after receive over 900 public comments already, DEQ has concluded that they will need more space.
But if you need further convincing that we need everybody to turnout, look at the name of the street where the hotel is. Dominion Blvd?! We are truly going into the belly of the beast. Hope to see you there.
