Mr. Stewart, a Republican, told The Washington Times the job would give him the platform to pressure lawmakers into doing more to crackdown on illegal aliens."By running statewide it gives me the bully pulpit to do that," he said.
Key word in that statement: "bully." Enough said.
If we use 2008 to organize all throughout the state around Barack, Mark, and our congressional candidates in every district, then we'll be primed to take the state leg and the executive positions in toto in '09.
And now that Davis has decided not to seek reelection, Stewart has declared himself the "preeminent Republican in Northern Virginia."
I'd do almost anything to get this egotistical nut job out of PWC--except maybe this. Sadly, he doesn't have to (and most certainly won't) step down as Chairman to run. I guess Greg L. will be his campaign manager.
I can't wait to get involved in this one.
