Man, he's sounding dumber and dumber on foreign policy all the time...

Maybe it's you that doesn't understand this war, Senator?

Lotsa Thanks, Senator McCaine... (Teddy - 2/13/2008 1:56:39 PM)
"Al Qaeda will claim they won in Iraq... if we pull out." Nothing like giving Al Qaeda a tip on how to frame our resolution of the mess in Iraq.

Thank you, Senator McCaine, for letting Osama bin Laden determine your foreign policy, rather than proceeding to implement a policy based on America's true national interests... Just like two playground bullies, egging each other on. Unfortunately, the Senator's machismo resonates with a certain element of the population, as they swagger around praising Shock and Awe and America's dedication to oil. I sincerely hope that soon-to-president Obama can bring a more adult approach, a clearer understanding that serving our national interests does not depend on what our enemies say about us.

If there were a thought bubble above his head, (KathyinBlacksburg - 2/13/2008 5:12:28 PM)
Mickey would probably be thinking: "Kuwait--only better.  This time we got the oil and a new pipeline."

I agree with Ben -- this is PATHETIC! (Lowell - 2/13/2008 2:23:21 PM)

"Trust me, I know best" (Teddy - 2/13/2008 4:49:03 PM)
McCaine implied that was what Obama and Clinton were saying, but that's really what Bush and Cheney have been saying for 8 years. It seems to me that McC's a bit confused. Then he went on to remind us "the people don't send us to Washington to serve our interests, but theirs." Really? What a perfect description of the exact method of governing (or not governing) the Republicans have employed. Once again, listen to what the Republicans accuse Democrats of, and you will have a clear picture of what the Republicans themselves either are already doing, or plan on doing in the near future. They telegraph their punch.

They really do, Teddy. (KathyinBlacksburg - 2/13/2008 5:26:32 PM)
And McC --or Mickey (Mouse)--has already started down the dark path with his "it's us or the terrorists," your with us or against us, approach.

We've heard that one before, and it's originators have mighty low favorability ratings.  So he's not likely to get the mileage he thinks.

PS Mickey, did you forget?  Repeat after me, the answer to this question: On whose watch did 9-11 happen?  That's right, Mickey, George's watch.

Withdraw from Iraq in 10,000 years? (Lowell - 2/13/2008 7:35:36 PM)
