Local PTSA asks Parents to Choose between Kid's Schools and Primary

I received an e-mail from the PTSA at my daughter's school, WT Woodson High School.  It said that there would be an emergency meeting of the PTSA next Tuesday at 7 PM to discuss the cuts in the Fairfax County Schools Budget.  

I sent back an e-mail reminding them that the Presidential Primary is that day and that the polls don't close until 7.  I suggested that it would be difficult for some parents to make it to the polls and given the importance of both, it might be appropiate for them to reschedule.
I got back an e-mail that read as follows:

Sorry, we will not be able to change the time at this short notice.

Short notice??  The primary has been scheduled for over a year.  Why can't they admit they made a mistake and move the meeting back?

If anyone has kids at Woodson, please contact the PTSA at weadmin@wtwoodsonptsa.org or clpotter@cox.net and let them know that the primary is important.  The meeting should be rescheduled.

That is probably why they can't reschedule the meeting, although I would add that the least they could do is to start it later.
