Subject: Alexandria Visibility Day - WOW!

WOW -- what an incredible day!!  We started Alexandria visibility day at 6 a.m. at the Old Town Farmer's Market with four exceptional and dedicated women who braved the cold to get out the word about Obama. Next, at 8 a.m., we had two teams near popular Alexandria coffee shops, Misha's in Old Town and St. Elmo's in Del Ray.  At 10 a.m., Latinos for Obama fired it up in the Arlandria neighborhood - si se puede!  The King Street metro was pretty empty around 10 a.m., so we moved that station to the area near Whole Foods which turned out to be a great spot.  We also opened our Potomac Yard station at 10 a.m. where supporters flocked throughout the day.  At 11 a.m., we opened our station at the Old Town pier and we couldn't have asked for better weather -- what a turn out!  At noon we started up in the Cameron Station park where we had a special Kid for Obama join our team.  We also re-opened our King Street metro station as traffic picked up there.  At 1 p.m., our Old Town playground team showed that lots of moms and dads love Obama, too!  Our last station of the day opened in North Old Town at 2:30 where a packed barber shop grabbed Obama swag and got fired up!

All in all, we had 11 stations throughout the city, and we had the best group of volunteers we could have asked for.  YOU ALL WERE AMAZING, and we're so proud to be working with you to elect the next president of the United States.  It struck the event organizers thoughout the day that Obama has the most amazing, diverse group of people on his side.

One final note: when we left my house at 5:45 a.m. this morning, we didn't see any Obama yard signs (other than mine).  When we headed home, around 5 p.m., we saw yard signs everywhere!
YES WE CAN! SI SE PUEDE!
